NO BLADE STAMP  
DO NOT BUY!! As stated by the other reviewers when I received the knife and book set the knife did not have the etched blade. So going through Amazons return procedure was easy enough thinking a mistake was made then again receiving the exact same NON etched knife blade. Calling customer service was ordeal in itself as it was impossible to explain to someone with little English skills what "not etched" meant. So she decided it was defective and since this was my second problem with this knife I had to get a refund and no more exchanges. I was going to keep the knife because of the great price but since the blade was not etched it was not going to be a desired collectible so back it went.

Another disappointed customer  
Received the knife and book NO etching on the blade. This was supposed to be a special gift but theres definitely nothing special about it. Its just a plain rather simple knife. I E-mailed Amazon and was told that theres a problem with the description of the item. Well NOW there is however at the time I ordered it was clearly marked as an etched limited edition blade.
The CSR also told me that they werent going to send me a replacement (would have been my preference) since there would be a good chance it would be the wrong item again. Amazon really has that little control over their inventory?
I was able to return the knife and book for a full refund (postage paid by Amazon) but now I have to wait for this refund which can take up to a month. Since I used Amazon GCs for this order those are unavailable to me until then. Not exactly convenient this close to Christmas.

Product Injustice  
Im kind of annoyed by all this product injustice going on here. Ive owned a few of these knives over the years and all of them have held up well even ones I got when I was a kid that suffered a beating over the years on camping trips or in the back yard. If you see the ratings for this brand of knife theres a reason why they almost always get 4 to 5 stars and thats cause they produce the best quality products. Multiple people giving this product bad reviews simply because Amazon sent out the wrong knife is inaccurate. Grade the product according to the product not on the company or person who sold you it. If you didnt get the right product return it till Amazon sends you the right one and then post a review according to that. I bought 2 of these and theyre pretty much as described if not better. Im willing to bet 10 years from now the knife will still be in decent shape and who doesnt love a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. : 2010-09-16 03:02:31

Doubly Disappointed: Book only on Recent Order  
I ordered this item twice several months apart. My review after the first order is below. With my recent 2nd order I only received the book. No knife was included in the packaging. The book was returned to Warehouse Deals for a refund. After receiving the first order I originally wrote: The premium price for this package is for the special edition Soldier knife with its special engravings on the blade. That knife appears to be sold out which is probably why Amazon placed a bunch of these packages on their Warehouse Deals site at a reduced price. Like several buyers I received the off-the-shelf Soldier knife without the special engravings. The Jackson book is a fun read but not that useful for a collector of older SAKs. The book can be purchased separately from the knife. : 2010-09-16 03:02:31
